Dirt Bike Rider Dies After Annapolis Crash: Police
A dirt bike rider died after a crash in Annapolis, police said. Speed may have been a factor, officers added.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — Police said a dirt bike rider died Tuesday after a crash in Annapolis. Officers on Wednesday identified the victim as Christian Benitez-Chavez.
An incident report noted that the Yamaha TTR125 dirt bike was heading northwest on Forest Drive Tuesday afternoon. A Honda Pilot on Parole Street then turned left onto Forest Drive heading southeast, the write-up continued.
Police mentioned that the dirt bike rider lost control, and the drivers collided around 4:45 p.m. Officers think the speed of the dirt bike may have been a factor. The press release explained that the Honda driver was not hurt, but they stayed on the scene.
