MARYLAND — It's a delicious treat any time, but maybe ice cream is savored even more during a prolonged heat wave. The late President Ronald Reagan designated National Ice Cream Day as the third Sunday in July. Who are we to argue, so celebrate this Sunday, July 21.

Patch has compiled some of the best specials offered on the cool, creamy, tasty treat throughout Maryland. Many places are offering ice cream treats for free or at reduced prices.

The folks at Offers.com polled more than 1,000 respondents to see which ice cream flavors and which junk foods Americans enjoy most.
