Anne Arundel County may see some flooding Thursday evening. Patch explains who is at risk.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Floods may hit Anne Arundel County Thursday evening, forecasters say. The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood advisory for the county's shorelines.
Thursday evening's tide may be stronger than usual. The high tide, which rolled in at 4:52 p.m., is 1 to 1.5 feet above normal, a report notes.
Weather officials warn that low-lying coastal areas may see up to six inches of flooding. It takes 2.6 feet of inundation to pool up in the parking lot at Annapolis City Dock and surround the Alex Haley Memorial.
