Funding announced for early childhood educators

Maryland State Department of Education and Division of Early Childhood provide funding to support child care providers to obtain CDA.

The Maryland State Department of Education, Division of Early Childhood will provide funding to support child care providers with obtaining their Child Development Associate® (CDA) Credential™ from the Council for Professional Recognition. This initiative was funded through the PDG B-5 Grant and through the Governor’s Office to enhance the early childhood workforce in career advancement.

The Council for Professional Recognition promotes improved performance and recognition of professionals in the early childhood education of children ages birth to 5 years old. In keeping with its goal to meet the growing need for qualified early child care and education staff.
