Galentine's Day Perfect Fit

Ladies, Galentine’s Day approaches. What’s your plan? Gather your bosom buddies and schedule a Galentine’s Bra Fit Party at à la mode intimates in the Annapolis Towne Centre.

Since it’s 2010 origin in the TV sitcom “Parks and Recreation,” February 13 has been adopted by many as Galentine’s Day to celebrate female friendships. Local, independent lingerie boutique à la mode intimates is taking this idea one step further with the philosophy: Friends don’t let friends wear bad bras.

Eight out of ten women are wearing a poorly fitted bra which can cause chest weight to be transferred to the neck and shoulders, leading to neck and back pain, poor posture and breathing difficulties.

“Women regularly neglect being properly measured and fitted,” said Patti Platt of à la mode. “A Bra Fit party with best friends in a carefully crafted atmosphere where women feel comfortable is a perfect way to do something good for themselves while having great fun.”

The elegantly appointed Bra Salon at à la mode with accommodating couches and comfortable chairs is the perfect venue for groups of 5 to 12 women to relax and enjoy an evening together. As guests socialize and enjoy complimentary refreshments, à la mode’s staff of certified fitters works with each participant in the privacy of spacious, curtained dressing rooms to find a bra style that fits and flatters.

Bra Fit parties at á la mode can be scheduled for 90-minute time slots Sundays through Fridays. The hostess will receive a gift card with 10% of the net sales after the event.
