Hammond-Harwood House Offer Jane Austen Themed Tours

From the Hammond Hardwood House:

This month the museum will offer special tours comparing the lives of the Loockerman family and the characters in Jane Austen’s novels. The tour will talk about room usage and social graces of the period and will encourage participation and speculate about what Jane would do! Tea in the garden will be available upon request. For future times and dates, please check back in early June.

Jane Austen themed tours will be offered Wednesday August 17 and 24 and Thursday August 18 and 25. No reservations required.

Join the museum as we celebrate Jane Austen and have the very talented duo Elissa Edwards, Soprano and Dr. Anastasia Pike, Harp grace us with their music from the Regency era in the mansions ballroom. The concert will feature music from the artist’s album the Jane Austen’s Songbook. The event will include a tea reception in the mansions garden starting at 6:30pm.
