Laptop, Camera, Candy Taken in Thefts From Vehicles

Two thefts and a burglary were in the Annapolis police daily briefing Wednesday.

Annapolis police are investigating two thefts from vehicles this week.  

Between 7 p.m. Monday and 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, a passenger window was smashed in the 900 block of Van Buren Street. A black bag containing a Dell laptop, Kodak camera, laser measuring device and two moisture meters was taken from the passenger seat, according to police.

Between 8 p.m. Monday and 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, someone smashed a passenger side window in the 100 block of Duke of Gloucester Street. The intruder stole candy, according to police.

In the unit block of West Street, an employee at a business arrived Tuesday to see that the rear door was open and the door glass had been smashed. Nothing inside was moved or taken, according to police. The alarm there went off at 4:45 a.m., but the owner believed it to be a false alarm and did not send anyone to check, according to police.
