A Love Letter From Robert Pallone

To celebrate Valentine’s Day, we asked Patch readers to write a love letter to that special someone and let us deliver it. This is Robert Pallone’s Valentine’s Day poem for his special someone:

Valentine’s Day Dilemma

We’ve been together quite a long time, and I’m still in love with you.
And once again, Valentine’s Day, whatever shall I do?

Something different from the past years, original, something that sends
the message, I LOVE YOU.

This is perplexing for a guy in love for many years...I never know what to do.

I’ve done flowers, pajamas, candy, and stuff like that.
This year, it must be different, need to pull something new out of the hat.

My love for you is deep and I always try to show it every day.
I try to let you know that you are the most important person in my life in every way.

But now, they have this “special day.” I’m at a loss, that’s for sure.

It must be different and over time, will long endure.

Wait! I’ve got it. Nothing big. No candy or precious stones.
Perhaps something very basic I will do.

I’ll just hug you, kiss you, hold you tight and say;
Thank you, Happy Valentine’s Day, I love you!
