Man Gets 35 Years in Prison for Running Annapolis Brothel
The ringleader of an Annapolis and Easton prostitution ring was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

A man convicted of operating a brothel in Annapolis was sentenced to 35 years in prison this week.
German de Jesus Ventura, 35, will serve 35 years plus five years of supervised probation, after being convicted on prostitution, human trafficking and weapons charges, according to a press release from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).Â
State officials said Ventura was the ringleader in a brothel operation based out of Annapolis and Easton between March 2008 and November 2010. Ventura's associate, Kevin Garcia Fuertes, was sentenced to 19 years in prison  in September on similar charges.Â

Both Fuertes and Ventura were living in the country illegally, as were many of the prostitutes they employed for their operation, according to ICE.
