Maryland Natural Resources Police To Collect 'Boatload of Toys'

Maryland's DNR Police are joining forces with the U.S. Marine Corps' Toys for Tots program. Here's where to donate to Boatload of Toys.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police is conducting its annual “Boatload of Toys” drive at several locations across the state this year, collecting donations of new, unopened items for less fortunate children.

Officers and other staff manage this program each year as part of the national Toys for Tots program, created at the behest of the U.S. Marine Corps to collect and distribute toys to less fortunate children during the holiday season.

Natural Resources Police staff will collect toys at the following locations:

  • Kent Island: 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Kmart, 200 Kent Manor Drive, Stevensville
  • Frederick: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, at Kmart, 1003 W. Patrick St.
  • Salisbury: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1, and Sunday, Dec. 2, at Walmart Supercenter, 2702 N. Salisbury Blvd.
  • Edgewater: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 2 at Kmart, 3255 Solomon’s Island Road
  • Hanover: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, and Sunday, Dec. 16, at Bass Pro Shops (Arundel Mills), 7000 Arundel Mills Circle
