For much of Saturday, Prince George's, Anne Arundel and Montgomery counties were under an ice storm warning.

The weather agency extended a winter weather advisory that is in effect until 10 a.m. Sunday for Prince George's, Anne Arundel, Charles, St. Mary's, Calvert, Montgomery, Garrett, Washington, Carroll, Cecil, Baltimore, Allegany, Howard, and Harford counties, plus the city of Frederick, are under the advisory.

Occasional light freezing drizzle is expected Sunday morning with a light glaze of ice. Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible.

Chances of rain, freezing rain and snow appear throughout the next seven days in the forecast.

If you must be out on the roads, keep an extra flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.

Prepare for possible power outages.

When going outside, watch for ice on steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be slippery, increasing the risk of a fall and injury.

If you must drive, remember what appears wet should be treated as ice, said the Maryland State Highway Administration on Twitter. "Consider altering or canceling travel plans. Road conditions can change rapidly. Storm crews are actively treating roadways. Stay put if you can."
