Michael Leahy Returns As City Attorney

"This is a real win for the city, and needless to say, I am happy to have him back serving the city."

From The City of Annapolis: Annapolis Mayor Michael Pantelides announced that Michael Leahy will be returning to the City of Annapolis as its City Attorney, effective Monday, December 19, 2016.

“This is a real win for the city, and needless to say, I am happy to have him back serving the city and addressing our legal responsibilities,” Mayor Pantelides said. “His extensive knowledge of our codes and regulations will benefit the City Council as a whole and I know my colleagues look forward to his return as well. I would also like to thank Gary Elson, who was the Acting City Attorney, for his exceptional service.”

Mr. Leahy accepted the Senior Advisor to Governor Larry Hogan and was the Director of Real Property Strategies since June, but his resignation from the state allows him to return to his position and resume his previous duties.
