Planned Protests May Cause Traffic Disruptions In Annapolis

The Annapolis Police Department advises motorists to take a different route and avoid the protests Sunday.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Drivers should be aware of potential delays and disruptions to traffic in the downtown area starting this weekend because of demonstrations. The Annapolis Police Department suggested motorists use alternate routes.

On Sunday from noon to 1 p.m., a march has been planned that will travel from the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium to Susan Campbell Park. The route will traverse down Taylor Avenue to Rowe Boulevard onto Northwest Street around Church Circle and down Main Street. Streets will be closed as marchers move through the area, the police department noted.

Also on Sunday at 8 p.m., a demonstration has been planned in the area of City Dock. There likely will be traffic delays and street closures in that area at that time. Updates will be shared on the police Department's Facebook page and via Twitter at @AnnapolisPD.
