Police: BMW Taken, Recovered at Annapolis Mall

Police say a boy was charged Wednesday with taking a car and drug possession.

The car, an unlocked 2003 BMW 750iL, was taken from the 100 block of Spa Drive between 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. The spare keys were taken from another unlocked vehicle in the driveway, according to police.

At 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, the owner saw the car near Annapolis Mall and four males walking away from it. Officers found one, a 16-year-old boy and charged him with the auto theft and possession, according to police. 

In a separate incident, money was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Poplar Avenue between 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and 6:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to police.

Also, an attempted theft happened in the 1200 block of Gemini Drive between 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday. Someone entered an unlocked vehicle, but nothing appeared to have been taken, according to police.
