Police Break Up Anne Arundel Heroin Ring: Reports
Undercover officers infiltrated ring that sold heroin on Anne Arundel streets; police arrest 21 and seize cash, guns, vehicles and drugs.
MILLERSVILLE, MD — A major drug bust carried out by authorities in Anne Arundel County led to 21 arrests and the seizure of heroin, cocaine and other substances with a street value of more than $800,000, according to media reports. The drugs include an animal tranquilizer that's deadly to humans, WBAL-TV 11 News reported.
During the eight-month investigation, undercover detectives infiltrated a drug ring run by Glenn Anthony Davis, 49, of Baltimore. Police said that his organization put drugs on the streets from northern Anne Arundel to Pasadena, Severna Park and Annapolis, WBAL-TV reported.
The heroin task force also served 15 search warrants, seizing vehicles, four guns and nearly $300,000 in cash. Officers seized 1.74 kilograms of Fentanyl, 332 grams of heroin, 466 grams of cocaine, 159 grams of bath salts, 26.88 grams of a substance identified as U-47700, and 8.86 kilograms of Xylazine, the animal tranquilizer, the Anne Arundel County Police Department announced.
