Police: Shoes, Shorts, Wallet Taken in Armed Robbery

A man was robbed while walking to his vehicle late Tuesday night, police say.

A man was robbed at gunpoint late Tuesday, according to Annapolis police.

The robbery happened in the 1100 block of Frederick Douglass Street at 10:50 p.m. last night. A man walking to his vehicle was grabbed from behind by a masked man in black clothing. The victim fought back, then another man—also in black clothing and masked—approached with a handgun. The robbers took the man's black Nike boots, his socks, shorts and his wallet and ran toward President Street, according to police.

In a separate incident, a dark green Surly Pacer 20-speed men's bicycle with a neon green seat was taken from behind a building in the 900 block of West Street between 2:15 and 3:15 p.m. on Monday. The bike was left unlocked, according to police.

In the unit block of Amberstone Court, two bicycles were taken from a backyard between 8:45 p.m. Monday and 6:40 a.m. Tuesday. The two bicycles—a red and black Trek bicycle and a light blue Schwinn bike—were locked, but the lock was cut, according to police.

In a separate theft, two other bicycles were taken from a bike rack in the 700 block of Glenwood Street between 5 p.m. Monday and 3:30 p.m. Tuesday. The maroon and brown men's road bike and blue girl's mountain bike were taken from behind an apartment building. The locks on both were cut, according to police.
