Police: Two Arrests After Bicycle Thefts, Attempted Robbery

Police arrested an Annapolis man with a bicycle reported stolen in May.

Arrest June 12–An officer patrolling the area of West Washington Street and Northwest Street saw a man riding a bicycle that was reported stolen between May 25 and May 26.

Bicycle Theft Arrest June 12–Between 5:20 and 5:30 p.m., a bicycle was stolen from the rear of a business on the 300 block of First Street. Police reviewed surveillance video and identified an Annapolis man taking the bicycle. Police located the man and charged him with theft, but failed to recover the bicycle.

Attempted Armed Robbery June 12–At 5 p.m. on the 1900 block of West Street, a man entered a vehicle with an acquaintance and another person he did not know. One of the people pointed a handgun at the man and demanded money and a cell phone. The man fled and reported the incident to police.
