“We are looking forward to providing our communities with a convenient, environmentally-friendly way of disposing their old or broken electronics at our stores,” Dennis May, president and CEO of hhgregg, said in a press release. “Recycling electronic equipment keeps waste out of landfills and prevents toxic materials like lead and mercury from potentially leaking into the ground and polluting the environment, so we are proud to honor Earth Day with this event.”
