Santa Tracker 2019: When St. Nick Arrives In Maryland

Santa Claus is coming to town, but when will he visit children in Maryland? Rudolph and his pals are heading our way soon. Follow them here.

BALTIMORE, MD — If you need some incentive to get the kids tucked in tonight, remind them that Santa Claus has Rudolph's red nose headed straight for Maryland and won't make his scheduled landing if they're not in bed and asleep.

There are a couple of ways to convince them that Santa is, indeed, en route with at least some of the gifts they put on their lists.

One is the North American Aerospace Defense Command, which keeps count of the number of gifts good little children who went to bed on time have received. The U.S. military command charged with protecting the nation's airspace picked up St. Nick's sleigh on radar as it departed the North Pole around 4 a.m. Eastern Time Tuesday.

The Google Santa Tracker found him over the Democratic Republic of Congo mid-afternoon Tuesday, which was Christmas Day there.
