Scavenger hunters scouring Admiral Heights for items on their lists found some unexpected things.

Looking down, they found that sidewalk artists were sharing words of wisdom. “Be happy, resilience, appreciate and grace” were emblazoned on the sidewalk in chalk. “Love” was there twice – one encapsulated in a heart and one floating free. Other sidewalk art was not so easy to interpret, but it showed that someone was having a good time.

A poster, hanging from Sheila Bloom’s house, thanked first responders for their efforts. A red heart, similar to a Valentine’s Day heart, was in the yard of Barbara Hendricks. The heart symbolized how much Admiral Heights residents appreciate the first responders who are truly “giving from the heart.”

An unexpected honking of cars and other posters celebrated the birthday of an Admiral Heights resident. Since a “Happy Birthday” party was out of the question due to COVID-19, family and friends found other ways to celebrate. Hence, the honking and posters!

Thanks to the sidewalk artists for their words of wisdom! Thanks to first responders for taking care of us! And Happy Birthday and many more to Liesl Regier of Porter Drive in Admiral Heights!
