Severe Thunderstorm Watch Issued In Anne Arundel
Rain, wind and hail could shake Anne Arundel County Wednesday afternoon. Weather officials issued a severe thunderstorm warning.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm watch for four Maryland counties Wednesday afternoon. The alert lasts until 6 p.m. and includes:
- Anne Arundel County
- Calvert County
- Cecil County
- St. Mary's County
Meteorologists are calling for a 70 percent chance of rain that could lead to thunderstorms. If those storms develop, they may bring small hail and damaging winds. The breeze could sit at 15 to 20 mph, but gusts may reach 40 mph.
