That groundhog was a liar.

Wintry weather is expected in the Annapolis area on Monday morning with as much as 2-4 inches of snow possible, according to forecasts.

Snow was expected to roll in sometime around 4:30 a.m. Monday and continue through much of the day.

The State Highway Administration said it deployed 2,700 crews to treat and clear roadways Monday morning.
