Spy-Proof Estate Built by CIA Contractor on Market for $4.25M

Take a look inside one of the top homes on the market in Anne Arundel County.

PASADENA, MD — Most multi-million-dollar estate owners want their privacy, away from gawkers trying to peek at the inhabitants behind the gates. But a tech company owner who does work for the National Security Agency and the CIA has put his gated manor house — with a spy-proof roof — on the market in Anne Arundel County.

This week’s “Wow House” is located at 1645 Fairview Beach Road in Pasadena. This Wall Cove home just off the Patapsco River has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, three half-baths and 8,600 square feet. The asking price for this home is $4.25 million.

The home, built in 2006, is surrounded by more than 200 acres of park land. And the game room features a bar with wood brought over from England. But those aren't the most unique features.

Owner Bob Pozgar — whose former company Windermere Group was hired by federal agencies to infiltrate terrorist communications, guard critical information and peruse satellite images — put a copper roof on his country home near the Chesapeake Bay. He told The Washington Post that the roof is great looking, and it has the bonus of foiling spy satellites.

“One of the reasons why I had a copper roof — besides it just being great — you can have a satellite going over and you can never see what’s going on inside the house,” he told the Post.
