Teen Reports Assault: Punched, Struck with Gun

The incident occurred in the same area where another teen told police he accidentally shot himself last week.

An Annapolis teen told police he was assaulted by someone he knew early on Wednesday morning.

The incident occurred at about 1 a.m. in the 700 block of Newtowne Drive, which is the same area where a teen asked police for help after shooting himself in the leg on Friday, according to the Annapolis Police Department.

A 19-year-old Annapolis man told police that an acquaintance walked up to him and punched him in the face, then drew a handgun and struck him with it.

The man reportedly ran to his car and called police. He refused medical attention, according to police.
