Traffic Alert: West Street To Be Closed Tonight

ANNAPOLIS, MD — West Street in downtown Annapolis will be closed tonight between Westgate Circle and Calvert Street from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, according to the city's Office of Emergency Management. "The closure is necessary due to overhead crane activity at the construction site" for the Hilton Suites, a new hotel, the office announced.

Detours will be set up to guide West Street traffic to Rowe Boulevard, the emergency office said. Secondary streets near West Street will remain fully operational.
