What's Open, Closed In Annapolis For July 4, 2020 Holiday
Because Independence Day falls on a Saturday, some government services in Annapolis and Anne Arundel County will have changes on Friday.
ANNAPOLIS, MD — Independence Day will be a little different this year as coronavirus cases continue to mount. Cancelling large events is the new norm, and that's no different in Annapolis where its annual fireworks and parade are cancelled. The one thing locals can count on is a scheduled holiday.
Because July 4 is on Saturday, the holiday is observed on Friday, July 3. Many government services are already affected by coronavirus closures, but the holiday will only shake up their hours more. Here is what's opened and closed around the holiday:
Anne Arundel County government offices: County government offices have been closed for months, but employees are currently working from home. Employees are off on Friday and Saturday, however.
