Anne Arundel Patch: What was the winning word you spelled correctly during your school’s spelling bee?
Connor Scotton: Curiosity

Anne Arundel Patch: What do you like about your school?
Connor: They have very good, interesting teachers and a challenging, but fun, curriculum. Earlier this month, our whole middle school went on a field trip for math to watch the Washington Capitals practice and meet a player. Our math teacher, Ms. Kolarik, won this opportunity by submitting a lesson plan that incorporated Caps spirit. We used the hockey players’ shots to learn about angles in geometry. It was pretty cool.
