Anne Arundel Patch: What was the winning word you spelled correctly during your school’s spelling bee?
Mehul Sachdev:
The winning word I spelled during my school spelling bee was “exception”.

Anne Arundel Patch: What do you like about your school?
Mehul: One thing I really like about Chesapeake Academy is that people appreciate each other’s work. My favorite subject is math and right now we are learning how to divide and multiply decimals.

Anne Arundel Patch: Do you participate in extracurricular activities or sports?
Mehul: I play county basketball and play the piano.

Anne Arundel Patch: What do you want to do when you grow up?
Mehul: I like doing a lot of different things but am not sure right now as to what I want to do when I grow up.

Anne Arundel Patch: What do you like to do for fun?
Mehul: Along with basketball and piano I also like sketching and photography. In the summer I take lots of pictures.

Mehul is one of 32 students set to compete in the 25th annual Anne Arundel County Spelling Bee on Feb. 23. Patch congratulates all of the students on making it to the county competition!
