Homeless Drive Expands to Help Sandy Victims

The annual homeless drive in Anne Arundel County, known as "Linda's Legacy," will also help families impacted by Superstorm Sandy this holiday season.

If you are looking for a way to give back this holiday season, an annual homeless drive is collecting donations in Anne Arundel County.

Severna Park Patch reported that Linda’s Legacy gathers donations for more than 25 homeless shelters in Anne Arundel County and Baltimore City. Donations can be dropped off in Severna Park or Annapolis.

Donations needed for the homeless include new or gently used winter clothes, shoes, new baby items, new toys and fresh fruit. For the families impacted by Superstorm Sandy, the group is collecting new children's pajamas and new (or gently used) children's books.

Items will be sorted from Dec. 20-23 at the Anne Arundel County Farmers Market located at the corner of Riva Road and Harry S. Truman Parkway in Annapolis.
