ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — Several Maryland natives have been nominated for Grammy awards, including Brothers Osborne who hail from Anne Arundel County. The group has been nominated for Best Country Duo/Group Performance for their single “I Don’t Remember Me (Before You).” Long before they climbed the country charts with songs like “Stay a Little Longer” and “Rum,” the Brothers Osborne grew up in Deale, Md.

According to Brothers Osborne's website, during the weekends, local residents would head over to the Osborne household where a "series of loose, all-night jam sessions filled the Maryland air with the sounds of Bob Seger, Hank Williams, Tom Petty and George Jones."

Other Maryland artists up for Grammy awards include singer-songwriter Maggie Rogers for Best New Artist and Prince George’s County rapper YBN Cordae, whose The Lost Boy and “Bad Idea” featuring Chance the Rapper were nominated for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Son. Baltimore’s John Waters was nominated for Best Spoken Word Album for his audio book of Mr. Know-It-All. Watch the 62nd annual awards Jan. 26 at 8 p.m. EST. on CBS.
