Backyard Buffer Program Available In Anne Arundel County

ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD — The Watersheds Stewards Academy is making available to Anne Arundel County residents a variety of tree bundles for purchase to help beautify their properties and improve the environment. There's a large buffer bundle for dry and wet areas available, along with seedlings.

There's a small tree bundle, a shrub buffer bundle and a deer protection for large buffer/shrubs and small tree bundles. There also will be a free buffer planting workshop April 14 at 6:30 p.m. at Arlington Echo Outdoor Education Center, 975 Indian Landing Rd., Millersville. The workshop will cover plant spacing, planting and tree protection techniques.

Bundles can be picked up:

• Tuesday, April 14, from 4:30 p.m. -6:30 p.m.
• Wednesday, April 15, from 11 p.m.-1 p.m.
• Wednesday, April 15, from 4 p.m. -6 p.m.
