Chick-Fil-A Inspires Chicken Sandwich Dreamers With Anniversary Contest

The restaurant is launching a promotional campaign called "What Would You Do with 50 Sandwiches" where customers are encouraged to write in to make their dreams a reality.

Two local Chick-Fil-A restaurants will be participating in anniversary celebrations in the coming weeks, and customers can join in for the chance to get free chicken sandwiches and lemonade.

The restaurant in Glen Burnie is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a three-day event starting Thursday set to offer customers a variety of promotions, including a lemon-squeezing contest, a game night and free anniversary cake on Saturday.

The Waugh Chapel location will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the chicken sandwich on Wed., Jan 29. From 5-7 p.m. On that day, customers who buy a medium drink will receive a complementary chicken sandwich.

The restaurant is also launching a promotional campaign called "What Would You Do with 50 Sandwiches" where customers are encouraged to write their stories for what they'd do with 50 chicken sandwiches. The winner gets to bring their sandwich dream into reality.

“We are looking forward to celebrating 50 years of the Chicken Sandwich with our customers,” said Brian Smith, franchise operator of the Waugh Chapel Chick-fil-A. “We are especially excited to see our customers participate in our ‘What Would You Do with 50 Sandwiches?’ campaign and hear their great ideas.”

Fans of the restaurant can participate in a Facebook poll to decide the winner of the contest starting Feb. 24.
