Chick-fil-A Welcomes Community Members at Premiere Night

Severna Park's newest restaurant hosted a premiere night for family, friends and a few lucky contest winners.

The first tastes of Chick-fil-A in Severna Park were handed out on Tuesday night at premiere night

The guests of honor included family and friends of store operator Chris Schenck media members, local businesses and a few lucky contest winners—all of whom seemed to enjoy themselves.

Throughout the night, Chick-fil-A passed out an assortment of menu items for everyone to try including: chicken minis, fruit cups, Cobb salad, several sandwiches, waffle fries and mocha cookies and cream milkshakes.

Schenck addressed the crowd and introduced his staff. He emphasized that customer service would be among the location’s top priorities. Schenck, an Annapolis High graduate, has a long history with Chick-fil-A. He started working at the location inside Annapolis Mall in 1986.

Along with giveaways and contests, corporate members of Chick-fil-A shared a history of the restaurant, which got its start in 1946 as a 24-hour restaurant. During the night, workers slept on cots and woke up when a customer came. But even then Chick-fil-A was closed on Sunday.
