Del. Don Dwyer Sentenced to 30 Days in Jail
Dwyer pleaded guilty, seeking a lesser punishment in his trial on Tuesday.

A judge for the District Court in Annapolis sentenced Del. Don Dwyer (R–Pasadena) to 30 days in jail for driving a boat under the influence of alcohol, which led to a crash last August, reports The Capital-Gazette.
On Monday, Dwyer announced his plan to plead guilty, but noted his subsequent involvement in an alcohol treatment program.
The crash occurred on Aug. 22 between two boats on the Magothy River–one of which Dwyer was operating– and injured several people, including children. Dwyer himself suffered injuries to his foot and neck.
In addition to jail time, Dwyer will pay a $1,000 fine and cooperate under one year of supervised probation, reports The Capital-Gazette.
