Going down the ocean next week? State highway officials have news that may affect your route.

Detours will be in place on Monday and Tuesday nights for drivers on US route 301, the Blue Star Memorial Highway, near the Ocean Gateway Bridge in Queenstown, state officials announced Wednesday. The closure is part of the final phase of the bridge's rehabilitation project.

The rehabilitation project will be finished early this fall. No other closures are planned, however, according to officials.

Drivers headed northbound on US 301 after 8 p.m. Monday will be diverted to eastbound US 50, then Maryland route 213 then back to the Blue Star Memorial Highway. The northbound closure will end by 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Southbound drivers will be diverted left onto Del Rhodes Avenue to westbound US 50 then back onto the Blue Star Memorial Highway. The southbound closure will end by 5 a.m. Wednesday.
