Input Wanted: AACPS 'Day of Action' Set for June 8

The "Day of Action" is an opportunity for parents to share ideas with school officials on effectively advancing education in Anne Arundel County Public Schools.

Do you have an idea that could help teachers and students excel?

School officials in Anne Arundel County will hear such strategies in a "Day of Action" parents convention on June 8, in Annapolis.

Parents from public housing communities around the county are invited to the event, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, at 121 South Villa Avenue. A panel will discuss education topics, and parents can participate in several sessions on supporting their students.

Parents can also win prizes for participating in the activities and games, according to an AACPS press release.

The "Day of Action" is part of the Parents Engaged in the Education of their Children Outreach (PEEC-OUT) Program, organized by AACPS.
