Police Arrest Pasadena Man in Burglary

Police arrested a Pasadena man in connection with the robbery of Bill's Auto Parts in Glen Burnie.

Anne Arundel County police arrested a Pasadena man Thursday in connection with the burglary of  in Glen Burnie.

Jason William Hellems, 28, of the 200 block of Armstrong Lane in Pasadena was charged with burglary, theft, destruction of property and possession of burglar's tools.

According to a police press release, officers responded to the 7900 block of Solley Road at about 7:05 a.m. Thursday for a reported burglary where witnesses said they saw a man leaving a wooded area next to Bill's Auto Parts carrying car batteries and wiring harnesses.

Witnesses provided a description of the man's vehicle, which police said they were familiar with due to similar incidents in the past.

Officers then responded to the 200 block of Armstrong Lane in Pasadena and spoke with Hellems, who said he was at Bill's. Officers learned that Hellems entered Bill's property and stole more than $1,000 worth of auto parts and accessories from the storage yard.

According to court documents, Hellems was arrested in May on several traffic violations and assault charges.
