Police Arrest Two For Violent Laurel Robbery
One of the two men is charged with attempted murder in the violent heist early Monday in Laurel, say Anne Arundel police.

LAUREL, MD — Anne Arundel County police arrested two men early Monday following a violent robbery, charging one of them with attempted murder, according to a police statement. At about 12:38 a.m. Monday, officers responded to the Laurel Fire Station at 3497 Laurel Fort Meade Road for the report of a robbery.
The victim, an unidentified man, told the officers he was on Ethel Drive nearby when he was approached by two men in a red Chevrolet Malibu. One man got out of the car, flashed a knife and demanded cash from the victim.
The robber "then punched and attempted to stab the victim," the police report states. He took unidentified property from the victim, and both men fled in the Chevy Malibu.

The police officers searched the area and arrested two men in the 100 block of Ethel Drive. They charged Deandre Raynard Brown, 23, of Greenbelt with attempted first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, first degree assault, second degree assault, reckless endangerment, robbery and armed robbery.
The other man, Jerald Immanuel Northington, 20, of Upper Marlboro, was charged with robbery and armed robbery.
