Police Report 2 Serious Car Accidents in Anne Arundel

Four people were injured Saturday in separate incidents—one on Ritchie Highway in Severna Park and the other in the Selby area of Edgewater.

Police reported two serious accidents early on Saturday in different parts of Anne Arundel County where a total of four people were injured.

A Pasadena woman was thrown from a Lexus sedan after it struck another car and rolled over on Ritchie Highway early on Saturday. The woman was reportedly not wearing a seat belt. According to police, the incident occurred at 1:20 a.m. Saturday on Ritchie Highway near White Road in Severna Park. Police said there is evidence to suggest that speed, alcohol and failure to obey a traffic device may have contributed to this crash.

A Harwood man is in critical condition after the vehicle he was driving collided into a house in Edgewater early Saturday, according to Anne Arundel County police. Shortly after 1:30 a.m. Saturday, the driver of a Honda Civic failed to negotiate a "T" intersection at the 900 block of Hillside Avenue, resulting in the vehicle colliding into a house. The occupants of the house were not harmed, according to police.
