Robbery at Family Dollar on Furnace Branch Road East

Police are searching for an armed man who reportedly robbed a Family Dollar at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday. The store manager at 7428 Furnace Branch Road East, Glen Burnie, said he and another employee went to the back of the store when they saw the man walk around the corner, display his handgun and announce the robbery, according to an Anna Arundel County Police Department press release from this morning.

The suspect stole an undisclosed amount of money, and no employees were harmed.

Witnesses described the suspect as a 5’10”, 170-pound black male. He was last seen wearing a black hat with a white front and black lettering, a black ski mask, a long-sleeved black shirt, a white T-shirt, black pants and black shoes.
