Northeast High School's football team must forfeit its first three games for using an ineligible player.
PASADENA, MD — The Northeast High School football team must forfeit its first three games of the season because they played an ineligible athlete. The player also is unable to participate in sports for 60 days per state law.
Northeast High School officials informed Anne Arundel County Public Schools officials about the issue. The district imposed the penalty upon the high school after determining that the player was ineligible to play in the team's Sept. 6, Sept. 13 and Sept. 20 games.
