School System Pays Maxwell $90,000 in Leave Time

Former Anne Arundel County schools Superintendent Kevin Maxwell will receive $90,000 in unpaid leave time.
The Capital Gazette reports the move made Wednesday following Maxwell's departure at the end of July to head Prince George's County Public Schools.
Maxwell will only receive $85,000 of that money, according to the report. The rest will go toward paying a $20,000 penalty for ending his contract early on short notice. Prince George's County schools will pay the remaining $15,000.
