Teen Pleads Guilty in Fatal Pasadena Shooting

The investigation of the deadly shooting of a Pasadena man is ongoing, according to reports.

A Columbia teen pleaded guilty to first-degree murder on Tuesday, stemming from the Oct. 13 shooting death of a Pasadena man, reports The Capital-Gazette.

Ronald Lee McLeod, 18, pleaded guilty to the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Matthew Morrow during a house party in Pasadena, according to the report.

Anne Arundel County police initially charged both McLeod and Daniel Alex Savage, of Glen Burnie, with murder, but eventually dropped the murder charges against Savage for charges related to a "crime spree" connected to the teens.

Police announced in November they charged Savage in a carjacking, robbery and credit card theft, all occurring days before the shooting.

Authorities said McLeod robbed a woman outside a Pasadena salon on Oct. 9 and left in a vehicle with several other people inside. McLeod and others attempted to buy items with the woman's cards at Marley Station Mall in Glen Burnie, according to the report.

Then on Oct. 13, McLeod shot Morrow and his friend, Darren Costa, from a rear passenger seat of a stolen SUV as the men stood outside a house party in Pasadena. Morrow eventually died from his injuries and Costa survived with a gunshot wound to the hip, according to the report.

McLeod agreed to a life sentence, with all but 50 to 60 years suspended, and will face his sentencing on Jan. 15, reports The Capital-Gazette.
