Tutors Sought Across Anne Arundel County To Help Second Graders
Start the Adventure in Reading seeks tutors in Anne Arundel County to help second graders improve their reading skills.
ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, MD – Start the Adventure in Reading, a tutoring and mentoring nonprofit program that helps struggling second grade students improve their basic literacy skills, seeks volunteers to help tutor once or twice a week after school at sites located across Anne Arundel County for a full school-year. The program provides educator-approved curriculum, training and ongoing support to help out willing tutors.
Tutors are needed in Annapolis at Eastport Community Center, Georgetown East Elementary School, Germantown Elementary School, Mills-Parole Elementary School, Robinwood Community Center, Stanton Community Center and Tyler Heights Elementary School. In North Anne Arundel County tutors are needed at Nantucket Elementary School and Severn Elementary School. In South Anne Arundel County, tutors are sought to help at Edgewater Elementary School, Lothian Elementary School and Tracey’s Elementary School.
