Wolf Furniture In Pasadena To Close
The Pasadena store is one of seven in Maryland to shut down.

PASADENA, MD — Art Van Furniture is going out of business and closing its seven Wolf Furniture locations in Maryland, including one at 8038 Ritchie Hwy. in Pasadena. Art Van Furniture owns several brands of furniture stores in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, Maryland and Virginia.
Wolf Furniture, founded in 1902 in Pennsylvania, purchased Baltimore-based Gardiner Furniture in 2015. Art Van Furniture, a Michigan-headquartered operation, bought Wolf in 2017. The Wolf Furniture stores in Pennsylvania and Ohio will remain open and will be bought by former owner Robert Levin of Levin Furniture.
"Despite our best efforts to remain open, the company's brands and operating performance have been hit hard by a challenging retail environment," said Art Van Furniture spokesperson Diane Charles.
