Woman Charged with Stealing Diamond Ring from Gym Locker in Glen Burnie

Two women at the gym had items taken from the lockers, including a diamond engagement ring, a debit card and cash.

A woman in Glen Burnie was charged with rummaging through lockers at the Marley Station Mall, taking a diamond engagement ring and a debit card, police said.

Shawna Lil Long, 34, of Baltimore, was charged with two counts of theft, including theft under $10,000 and theft under $100, according to a police report.

Anne Arundel County police responded to the Gold's Gym located at the Marley Station Mall Monday night, where the store manager said he encountered a woman going through unsecured lockers. 

When police arrived, Long was already gone. Investigation revealed two women at the business had items taken from the lockers, including a diamond engagement ring, a debit card and cash.

Police approached Long and identified items that were in her possession that were stolen. She showed officers here she had discarded the engagement ring, and turned over the stolen items that were in her vehicle.
