Halethorpe Date Goes Awry for Middle River Man

Victim, 45, is robbed by man introduced as co-worker's cousin.

A Middle River man discovered that looking for love in all the wrong places apparently includes a Halethorpe bar with a co-worker.

According to police, on Sept. 13 a 45-year-old Middle River man met a co-worker known as "Katie" for a date at a bar on the 4400 block of Washington Blvd.

The suspect brought along an unknown male who she introduced as her cousin, police said.

When the victim left the bar at around 1:45 a.m., the cousin assaulted him and took his wallet, money and medication, according to police.

The incident is under investigation, police said.
