McAuliffe Steps Down as Halethorpe Improvement Association President
Carol Mox assumes leadership of community group.

Mike McAuliffe, who has served as President of Halethorpe Improvement Association for the past years, has stepped down from his role in order to spend more time with his family and focus his efforts on community improvement projects.
"This workload, coupled with my career and family obligations has become exhausting," he told HIA membership in the September newsletter.
Carol Mox, who has served as the group's Recording Secretary, was nominated without opposition to assume the role as President.

McAuliffe will continue to serve on HIA's board, and intends to gear his activity towards pet projects that include removing graffiti from walls, tackling overgrown shrubbery from public spaces, keeping tabs on an adult bookstore that is the bane to many in the community, and developing a walking loop for Halethorpe.
