Petite Cellars Supporting Ellicott City Flood Relief this June

Turf Valley store donating proceeds from wine/tequila seminars and accepting item/cash donations to assist

ELLICOTT CITY, Md.Petite CellarsHoward County’s premier wine, beer and spirits store is designating the month of June

to aid in relief efforts for the recent Ellicott City flood.

The store – located in the Turf Valley Towne Square shopping center (11079 Resort Rd., Ellicott City, Md. 21042) – will donate all proceeds from its June educational seminars to the Ellicott City Partnership:

June 14: 6:30 p.m. – Goldschmidt Vineyards Seminar

- Meet Winemaker Nick Goldschmidt of Goldschmidt Vineyards – which showcases single vineyard source wines from both the Alexander Valley and Napa Valley Oakville appellations. Having worked in the wine areas of New Zealand, Australia and South America making single vineyard wines, Nick consults for 16 wineries in 6 countries and continues his fascination with new technology and biodynamics.

- Featured Wines: Yoeman AV Cabernet, Game Ranch Oakville Cabernet, Hilary Oakville Cabernet, Forefathers Cabernet, Katherine Cabernet, Chelsea Merlot, Singing Tree Chardonnay and Boulder Bank Sauvignon Blanc.

- Tickets: $35/person

June 15: 4 to 8 p.m. – Knob Creek Petite Cellars Single Barrel Launch

- Educational tasting of Knob Creek Family of Bourbon featuring Petite Cellars Private Barrel with light hors d’oeuvres.

- Tickets: $10/person – tickets sold in one-hour time slots with special discounts and bottle engraving available during the event.

June 22: 6:30 p.m. – Patron Roca Tequila Mixology Class

- Learn the history of Tequila, techniques for production and how to mix the Perfect Patron Margarita and the Paloma with the different varieties of the Patron Roca Tequila line including: Patron Roca Blanco, Roca Reposado and Roca Anejo.

- Tickets: $25/person: take $5 off one bottle or $15 off two or more bottles of Patron products purchased June 22.

• June 9: 2 to 5 p.m. - St. Germain Liq. & Larceny Bourbon Tasting

• June 16: 1 to 3 p.m. - Macallan Scotch Tasting & Bottle Engraving

• June 22: 2 to 5 p.m. - Old Line Distilling

• June 23: 2 to 5 p.m. - Graft Ciders

• June 29: 4 to 7 p.m. - Fabrazia Margarita Tasting

• June 30: 2 to 5 p.m. - Partida Tequlia

No registration is needed for the tastings.


Olé, the Spanish Wine Sale takes place June 15 to 30 with 20 percent savings on six or more bottles and 10 percent savings on individual bottles (*Restrictions Apply). Yates has just returned from Spain, where he visited wineries from Toro to Rioja and all the way to the Atlantic coast near Portugal. He has purchased many wines – including Tempranillo, Garnacha, Albarino and Godello – in sufficient quantities to assure favorable pricing.
