HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A Baltimore area company donated more than a dozen oxygen masks to the Harford County Sheriff's Office recently. They will be divided between the K-9 unit and animal control, the sheriff's office reported, and they offer the opportunity to save lives.

"These masks are an instrumental tool in saving the life of a pet in distress," the sheriff's office said in a statement. "If CPR is needed, they help maintain a proper airway by creating a good seal around the K9's snout and could mean the difference between life and death for Fido."

The donated equipment came from Invisible Fence of Baltimore, located in Timonium.

"And before you ask, no unfortunately that beautiful white pup in the center of the picture isn't our new K9," officials said. "That's Invisible Fence of Baltimore's owner Jeff Little's dog Polar!"
